Overview
The Vivo Y6k is vivo's new budget 5G phone, launched in China on 6 November 2026 at CNY 1,599 (about $240). Its 6.74-inch LCD runs at 120Hz with an HD+ 1600 x 720 resolution and up to 1,200 nits of brightness, so scrolling feels smooth even if the panel is not the sharpest at this size. The front camera sits in a waterdrop notch, and the back carries two vertically arranged camera rings. Power comes from the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The camera setup is basic - a single 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, both f/2.2 - so photography is clearly not the selling point. The battery is the headline: a 6,500mAh cell that vivo claims keeps its performance for up to five years, though charging is slow at just 15W. On the software side it runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face recognition, an infrared blaster, USB-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is IP65 rated with SGS five-star drop resistance. It is aimed at buyers who want a big battery and 5G for very little money. It has no Pakistan launch or price yet - it is a China-only release for now, so Pakistani buyers should wait for an official announcement before expecting local availability.
Gaming review
The Dimensity 6300 handles casual games, but demanding titles need low settings on the 720p display. The 6,500mAh battery is the real gaming asset - it lasts for days of play.
