The Poco X8 launched in the Philippines on 30 October 2026 as the battery-first member of the Poco X8 series, built around an 8,340mAh silicon-carbon battery that Poco rates for beyond two days of use and 1,600 charge cycles to 80% health. Its 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED runs at 120Hz with a 3,500-nit peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and the phone carries IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings with 3-metre SGS-certified drop resistance. Photography comes from a 50MP main camera with OIS, joined by a 2MP depth sensor, while a 16MP front camera handles selfies; both are limited to 1080p video. The 8,340mAh battery charges at 67W HyperCharge with 22.5W reverse wired charging, and an underwater photo mode with speaker auto-drain is included. Dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and an in-display optical fingerprint sensor complete the package. On the software side it runs HyperOS 3 on Android 16. It is aimed at buyers who want maximum battery life and toughness at a midrange price, accepting a modest camera setup in return. No Pakistan launch has been announced; in the Philippines it costs PHP 23,999 for 8GB/256GB and PHP 26,999 for 12GB/512GB, with early-bird prices from 6 November. Colours: Fiery Orange, Frost White, Black.
The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 with a 120Hz AMOLED is fine for casual games and lighter demanding titles, but it is an entry-level gaming chip — the huge battery and tough build are the reasons to buy this phone, not raw speed.
Price notes: Philippines launch (30 Oct 2026, on sale 6 Nov); no Pakistan price announced. Philippines: PHP 23,999 (8/256GB) / PHP 26,999 (12/512GB).
