Photos are coming out blurry
The camera is good but the photos still look bad? The cause is usually the settings or a dirty lens, not the camera.
Steps
- Clean the lens
Gently wipe the camera lens with a microfiber cloth. A fingerprint-smudged lens blurs every photo — this is the most common cause.
- Remove the protective film
An old/scratched protective film on the lens ruins photo quality. Remove it and test without the film.
- Lock the focus
Before taking the photo, tap the subject to lock focus, then press the shutter. Use burst mode for moving subjects.
- Use night mode
In the dark, use Night Mode instead of flash — flash often makes photos flat and noisy. Keep the phone steady (rest it on a surface).
- Check the resolution settings
In Camera > Settings, set photo resolution to the maximum (full megapixels). Battery saver sometimes lowers it.
- Lens damaged?
If you see scratches or fog inside, the camera module needs servicing — that's not a DIY fix.
Tips
- Being on a screenshot or accidentally in video mode can feel 'blurry' — check the mode.
- Photos taken in daylight are always better — the real camera test is in sunlight.
